Scripps National Spelling BeeSpelling Bee

The Spelling Bee program is designed to help students improve their spelling and vocabulary development. The Spelling Bee is a series of spelling contests starting at the school and district level with winners advancing to the regional event. Regional winners may participate in the Multi-Region State Spelling Bee with the winner advancing to the National Spelling Bee.

All schools that want to participate in the regional spelling bee need to enroll with Scripps AND Resource Training & Solutions. Participation Fee:
Resource Member $95 / student advancing to Regional Spelling Bee
Non-member $114 / student advancing to Regional Spelling Bee

April 23 – August 21, 2018 Scripps Pre-enrollment Period - $160.00 / school
Note: Schools that pre-enroll receive early access to our 2019 Great Words, Great Works reading list and 25 codes good for 2019 Word Club Season Pass subscriptions.
August 22 - October 15, 2018 Scripps Early Bird Enrollment Period - $160.00 / school
October 16 – December 14, 2018 Scripps Regular Enrollment Period - $235.00 / school
Friday, November 2, 2018 Participation Registration Deadline (to receive ribbons and medallions)
Thursday, December 6, 2018   1 – 3:30 p.m. Coordinators' Meeting
January 7 – 18, 2019     District Spelling Bee Weeks
