What is Observe2Learn?
Observe2Learn is a tool to collect quantifiable classroom observation data, allowing administration to compare observations. Over time, data can then be used to identify trends and promote conversations and plans for instructional growth.

Why do we need Observe2Learn?
All Minnesota public school teachers will be required to undergo annual evaluations under legislation that was passed in special session this past spring. Observe2Learn allows districts to collect observation data throughout the year to be incorporated into the evaluation process. Observe2Learn will give districts local control by providing the tools needed to support teachers and school boards in developing their own evaluation process. 

Educators across the nation are embracing teacher practice as the single most important indicator affecting student achievement. 

Yet, the observation process is cumbersome and time-consuming for administrators and often times leaves teachers waiting to receive feedback.

A. No, Observe2Learn is NOT an evaluation instrument. Observe2Learn is a tool to collect classroom observation information, which is then used to identify opportunities for refining and enhancing teacher performance.

Q. Why should I use Observe2Learn? I am already required to complete a minimum of two formal observations.
A. Observe2Learn records classroom observation data and presents feedback immediately. It aggregates observations throughout the year into useful and easy to understand reports. Observe2Learn saves time, keeps data neatly organized and presents information in a user-friendly format.
