Management Assistance Program

About the Program

Keeping track of health and safety laws and regulations from the Minnesota Departments of Education, Health, Labor and Industry, Public Safety, Pollution Control as well as tracking Federal regulations and standards -  can be challenging to manage.  
Our Management Assistance Program provides consultation and coordination of services for  environmental issues that school districts face in order to be in compliance with state and federal laws. A trained professional from our staff will assist in identifying, prioritizing and gaining approval for health and safety projects, and provide support needed to review written programs.

  • Direct contact and communication with MDE and Service Cooperatives across the state to ensure our services are consistent and uniform.
  • Experience to assist districts in prioritization and scheduling district health & safety revenue application, including the district’s MDE requirements, health & safety policy and budget.

  • Ensure district is posting all required US Department of Labor and State Workplace   Posters.
  • A fast track approval system for health and safety projects (up to $10,000) that meet   MDE criteria.
  • The ability to perform annual on-site management assistance safety inspections.
  • The details and knowledge to implement   new regulations as rule/law changes occur.
  • Ties with a statewide Management Assistance Program network.
  • The capabilities to support MDE activities, such as hosting quarterly regional meetings,   implementing new programs, hosting training to support educational initiatives and other programs that are developed.
  • An in-depth knowledge of occupational safety.
