Press Release
Resource Training & Solutions and the Diocese of Saint Cloud have partnered to bring speaker Barbara Coloroso to the St. Cloud Civic Center (Rivers Edge) on September 26, 2011 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. to present Bullying - Breaking the Cycle of Violence.
The event is geared toward high school students, parents, teachers and the community at large. Coloroso will address the issue of bullying and explain how breaking the cycle of violence involves more than identifying and stopping the bully. Attendees will learn how to:
- Examine why and how a child becomes a bully and/or the target
- Discover the role the bystanders play
- Realize the deadly combination of a bully, a bullied child, and the bystanders and adults who see bullying as teasing, not tormenting
- Teach the tools needed to handle conflicts without violence
