This workshop will explore current research for children with anxiety disorders. Participants will learn about interventions to help the child and caregiver understand anxiety in their family, interventions to empower the inner strengths of children and caregivers, and learn to create a safe environment for children and caregivers experiencing anxiety. Parents, educators, and other professionals will leave the session better equipped to provide interventions to children with anxiety.

Foundational Literacy Skills: What they are and Strategies to Support Students, by Beth Praska
In efforts to provide all students with a strong foundation in reading, schools focus on the five essential reading components. This session concentrates on developing common language that will facilitate the implementation of interventions that are connected to student development in literacy. Examples and strategies will be explored to provide opportunities to gain knowledge and skills important to working with small groups of students or in 1:1 settings. The knowledge acquired in this session will be applicable to your work with K-5 students in reading.

Love, See, Teach!, by Jenny Hill:
Back by popular demand! This session explores how we can love our students we work with everyday, see them as unique individuals, and teach them to the best of our ability. This session includes a refreshing amount of discussion and reflection so we can all remember why we entered this profession in the first place!

Google with Greatness!, by Jenny Hill:
This workshop will focus on Google basics so that you can support your students who are working on similar projects. Topics include: Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Slides. You'll be introduced to a Chromebook and will have an opportunity to find out which apps work on an iPad for those who need a touch screen.

Assistive Technology: Supporting Student Learning, by Jeremy Mikla
Assistive technology helps people who have difficulty speaking, typing, writing, remembering, pointing, seeing, hearing, learning, walking, and many other things. In this session we will explore apps and web-based tools which can be used with students to help support their learning.
