Toby Stumpf and his mother Dawn will invite attendees to participate in a much-needed conversation about meeting the needs of students with ADHD. Speaking alongside his mother who is an educator, Toby, who is the author of "Journal of an ADHD Kid," will share his perspective as a student, explaining "the good, the bad and the useful" when it comes to understanding and meeting the needs of students with ADHD.

Michael Imholte will speak on adjustments made throughout his high school, college and professional years to succeed professionally. He will share how he learned to cope and strive through exercise, focus, and determination, and making a personal goal to finish what he starts.

Dr. Gary Snead will provide tips on the best way to prepare before seeing a physician and what to expect and request as well as follow up. Emphasis will be placed on the team perspective including the diagnosed individual, the significant circle of friends and authority figures, the medical team and the pharmacist.

There will be opportunities for questions and other interaction.The workshop includes a vendor fair of local services for families living with ADHD.

About the Presenter
Toby Stumpf, Student, Author & Dawn Schaefer-Stumpf, MEd, Author and Parent Support Group Facilitator at the Annandale School District.

Dr. Gary Snead is a physician at the St. Cloud Medical Group for over 20 years. He has experience ADHD personally in his family as well as professionally. He has treated hundreds of children, adolescents and adults with ADHD and related challenges. He is considered to be a leading expert in the St. Cloud area. Dr. Snead served on the board of directors of the nonprofit Attention Deficit Awareness of Minnesota, Inc.

Michael Imholte is a young adult navigating his way through life discovering ways that he can thrive independently and continue on the path to know the connections he can make to achieve success.
