Description
In this workshop you will learn to use various online tools that can help students create original and creative presentations. These tools include:
 
Glogster: an online tool to create interactive posters loaded with text, graphics, music, videos and more.
 
Wordle & ABCYA:  online tools for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts and color schemes. 
 
Text 2 Mind Map: a web application that converts text to mind maps. It takes a structured list of words or sentences, interprets it and draws a mind map out of it. Great tool for students to create an outline visual.
 
Participants will also learn effective ways to search the Internet for information, images, videos, etc. used in the projects.
Notes This workshop is available for University of the Pacific (PEDU) credits. You may get 1, 2, or 3 credits depending upon completion of assigned homework.
