Presenter Barb Schmitz has been working in the field of health & safety for 19 years. She currently owns and operates Safety Compliance Services which is a safety consulting company in Northwest Minnesota. Barb has worked with the MDE's Health & Safety Management Assistance Program for the past 12 years doing safety inspections and reviewing safety programs in 40 school districts in Northwest Minnesota. She works with private industry and counties assisting them with safety training and consulting needs. Those who attend Barb's training sessions will find that she hates boring safety training sessions. A hallmark of her trainings are that she shows a lot of pictures and tells a lot of stories. It is the stories, not the OSHA rules, that get people to change unsafe behavior.
